I'm a racing greyhound from Ireland who raced in England and has retired to Scotland. I sleep (lots), go to the pub, and - if I was allowed to - would probably eat chicken and ice-cream until I burst.

Biography

Hi, I'm Gala

My racing name was "Gone Gallivanting" and I raced out of Sunderland until early 2021. After this I was looked after for a few months by some wonderful humans in the Dog's Trust. I don't think too much about the racing while I'm awake, but I'm retired now and don't run fast any more (unless I want to).

Some other nice humans took me away from the Dog's Trust, and gave me some nice new beds to sleep on, and a (mandatory greyhound) Cuddlepillar. The take me for walks, including the Greyhound Trust walks at Drumpellier Country Park and Strathclyde Country Park, and the annual Great Global Greyhound Walk - I like meeting up with other houndies! They take me to the pub, rub my (tiny!) belly, feed me chicken and have helped me become a bit more tolerant of the weird-looking mutant dogs in the area.
